3.500 m² of production spaces, pre-production and deposits, administration designated space and facilities, terraces and parking.
After the home, workplace has become the most important setting for the modern adult experience.
The new REMAL Factory required a rational organization to facilitate logistical efficiency of the shoes production areas and administration offices. MB Studio envisioned solving these organizational problems via a strategy that would also improve company image.
Using a large rectangular slab volume to wrap around the factory’s internal and external traffic flows, the production and administration team are directed through a clear set of spaces. By set backing the building is created a front court also have the flexibility to accommodate the flows of employees and goods.
Because the roof is cut and rotated over the building, it is read as both a dynamic silhouette and a series of skylights that bring inside North-East natural light in the production areas and offices.
