Façade makeover of a power house building.
This is a large building that is used to generate and store electricity. Its current exterior state was in need of a major upgrade. The goal of this makeover was to transform the looks of this industrial building in order to make it more durable and aesthetically pleasing improving the overall look and feel, as it is situated by the Rruga e Kombit, which is a major road in Albania.
Two separate volumes could be identified making up the building, the front volume facing the road and the back volume facing the mountains. The volume facing the road was enveloped by a corrugated steel façade painted in black, while the volume facing the mountains was treated with durable red paint. The chosen materials ensured that the building maintained the look and feel of an industrial building while upgrading the aesthetics and quality of the façade.
